Co-operative Mural

Cooperatives have long been an important feature in Scottish communities. Prestonpans’ Co-op is commemorate in a mural in the car park of Scotmid, which sits on the site of the original shop.

Tom Ewing took inspiration from a photo of the Co-op around 1910. It shows the Co-op’s staff standing outside the shop.
