Sporting Heroes

Jim Forster, a former sprinter, suggested a mural that celebrated Tom Tait, another talented runner. The Prestoungrange Arts Festival loved the idea but wanted to dedicate a mural to the town’s rich sporting history.

The mural shows 17 sportspeople who have a strong connection to Prestonpans and have represented their country in thier respected sport. Tom Ewing began work on the mural in October 2012. We hope this mural acts as inspiration to younger generations.
